Apprentice Investment Administrator (11382)

Apprentice Investment Administrator
Location: London
How does the apprenticeship work?
As part of this role, you will be required to pursue and study for a relevant industry qualification alongside performing your normal duties. This will involve dedicating 20% of your time to "off the job" study.
What is the purpose of the role?
This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced administration team which supports 8 Investment Managers who currently manage assets for individuals, families, pensions, trusts, offshore structures and charities.
You will be encouraged to build relationships with clients, intermediaries, share your thoughts and ideas to help the team develop their procedures in light of changing regulations and internal procedures.
What are the main responsibilities?
• Distribute and respond, as appropriate, internal correspondence and e-mails
• Liaise with clients and/or advisers to on-board new accounts and ensure the documentation meets regulatory standards.
• Arrange the stock/cash transfer; close accounts when necessary.
• Carry out full range of administrative duties as requested or by using own initiative.
• Liaise with Settlements in respect of all admin queries and amendments to client information
• Produce information for client meetings.
• Maintain up to date regulatory knowledge and communicate potential changes in legislation to Investment Managers.
• Ensure all activities/actions undertaken meet and comply with compliance standards
What are we looking for?
• 5 GCSEs at grades 4-9, including Math's and English
• 2 A-levels at grades A-C or equivalent
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
• To be numerate and literate
• A flexible attitude to work in response to changing workloads and deadlines within the team
• An excellent telephone manner
As part of our collaborative and agile culture, our working week is 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
